Winter Warmer Event Helps Residents Tackle Cost of Living Crisis

More than 100 Chorley residents attended a special Winter Warmer event dedicated to tackling the Cost of Living crisis at Coppull Library.

Those who came each received fresh food market vouchers worth over £1500 and a free cost of living pack that included a thermal mug, draft excluder, light timer and information on how to save energy and money.

The event was organised by Tracy Townson, Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement Officer, and Coppull Library. Partners Citizens Advice, NHS Social Prescribers, Utility Warehouse, SVP Chorley Buddies, Lancashire Volunteering Service, Christians Against Poverty and Community Advocacy Service were also in attendance.

Residents were served a delicious hot soup and a roll provided by Woodchats Café and a free hot drink from Coppull Library on arrival.
