RAAC Update

We acknowledge the RSH’s letter in relation to Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC). The letter explains that while RAAC is not thought to be widespread in social housing, it is asking social housing providers to check their buildings.

The safety of our residents is our top priority, and we undertook a review of the information we have about the construction of our properties in our portfolio. The vast majority of our residents’ homes are constructed using traditional methods, however, we want to reassure residents that Jigsaw carried out any necessary checks.

We have completed our surveys of properties with the potential for having the presence of Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) and can confirm from the work undertaken, that there was no evidence of RAAC in these properties.
