Residents Spring Into Wellbeing

Residents Spring Into Wellbeing

Residents in North Manchester took part in a creative four-week project to learn about health, nutrition and wellbeing.

The Spring Wellbeing sessions, held at the Guidance Hub in Cheetham Hill, offered residents a fun and practical way to develop new skills while connecting with one another.

They were organised by our Neighbourhood Engagement team and around 10 women attended each week. They created a range of relaxing crafts and recipes from scratch, including candles, salts and oils, herbal teas and healthy cheesecakes.

Officer Gemma Batchelor worked closely with Ruqia Alana from the Hopewell Group, alongside Michelle McKenna from Clippy’s, who delivered the sessions in a safe and welcoming environment to help build confidence.

The project, delivered every Monday throughout March and April, was developed in response to resident’s requests for more creative wellbeing sessions and opportunities to learn new practical skills.

One resident, Saima said: “I learned a lot in this course – the teachers were very good, and I’d love the course to be repeated!”
