Brian Moran, our Chief Executive, visited Ashton Police Station and met members of Greater Manchester Police to support ‘Operation AVRO’, a force-wide crackdown on neighbourhood crime.
Brian met with Chief Superintendent Chris Foster and Jo Simpson, our Roots Keyworker, to gain an insight into our ROOTS service, which provides support and rehabilitation for high risk and persistent offenders.
Together, they explored multi-agency work with GMP’s Spotlight department and met with both a former and current ROOTS client.
Each client was able to discuss their individual journey and share how they’d settled into their Jigsaw tenancies following support from ROOTS.
The ROOTS service provides housing stability, intensive one-to-one support and promotes engagement with specialist services to help reduce the risk of reoffending. It also works to make sure clients are in the best position to sustain the tenancy and eventually make it their home.
