Recognising Volunteers at Killisick Grocers

As part of Volunteers Week (2-8 June), volunteers at Killisick Grocers in Gedling, Nottingham were recognised for their dedicated work supporting the local community.

Volunteers Week is a national campaign that provides a platform for organisations and communities to praise volunteers for their invaluable efforts.

A total of eight volunteers received a certificate and a voucher to celebrate their contribution to the grocers which opened its doors for the first time in March 2025.

Martin Curtis, Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement Officer, said: “The grocers couldn’t run without our volunteers, so it is important for us to recognise and acknowledge this.

“As this is our first community grocers in Gedling, we hope that it will continue to help households with the cost of living in this area as they have done for our residents in Greater Manchester.”
