Jigsaw Group Announces new Group Director of Corporate Services

Chris Smith has been appointed as Group Director of Corporate Services at Jigsaw Homes Group. He will play a crucial role in managing the Corporate Services directorate, overseeing our Connect customer contact service, Marketing & Communications, IT and Governance while being more involved in corporate planning and change management.

Chris joined the organisation in December 2006 as Assistant Director for Corporate Services and was involved in setting up the Connect contact centre in 2009. He was appointed Director of Corporate Services in 2018.

He said: “I am excited by the opportunities this new appointment will bring and will be giving my all to these new challenges. I am also pleased to continue to have an involvement with Connect’s success as our first point of contact with customers, the IT team’s progress strengthening and modernising our systems and the Comms team’s work getting our messages across.”

In addition to Chris’s appointment, Mike Murphy has been announced as the new Company Secretary, alongside his position of Operations Director – Governance & Regulation.

Mike has been with the organisation since 2006, as a Neighbourhood Manager in Sefton, Regional Manager at the former Chorley Community Housing and Regional Manager for Communities across the Group.

He then moved to Head of Income and Leasehold and was previously Assistant Director for Income and Leasehold before taking on his current role as Operations Director. As Company Secretary he will focus on ensuring strong effective governance and compliance with our regulatory requirements.

Mike said: “Having worked in the Governance Team for the last two years I’m delighted to be appointed as Company Secretary. This is an exciting opportunity for me to contribute to the continuing success of Jigsaw Homes.”

These appointments follow on from the recent appointment of Brian Moran as Jigsaw’s new Chief Executive, who will be taking up that role on 16 December.
