Residents at one of our Over 55’s schemes in Crosby have set up their own art class to raise money for a local charity.
The art classes, held at Fairfield on Endbutt Lane, have been running for the last four months with the group learning a range of skills including painting, decoupage, glass craft and origami.
Supported by our Scheme Coordinator Rose Collins, the group meet daily in the lounge to make the crafts.
All the funds raised go to SUDDEN SAM, a charity set up to support those affected by sudden bereavement, in memory of Sam Mercer who passed away suddenly in 2023. Sam’s father, Dennis, is a resident at the scheme.
The group have so far raised a total of £297.50, which has been passed on to the charity.
