The Jigsaw Foundation supported a resident-led community group in Tameside, helping attendees continue to run their popular social events.
The Grange House Residents Group is based at our Grange House Over 55’s scheme in Denton. It is a group run by residents for residents and aims to strengthen community connections among older people living at the scheme.
The Jigsaw Foundation provided £3,000 in funding to help replace kitchen appliances, purchase new garden furniture and organise several social events.
Over the past 18 months, the group has successfully organised regular social activities including lunch clubs, breakfast mornings, coffee afternoons, quiz events, and a monthly Sunday lunch.
The funding will help to sustain these popular activities and continue to create a social environment that residents can enjoy together while supporting their mental wellbeing.
