Work is now underway to build 24 new apartments in Partington, Trafford, bringing much needed affordable housing to the local area.
Jigsaw Homes will deliver and manage the scheme which received grant funding from Homes England. The homes are available for social rent and will be allocated by Trafford Council.
Contractors Watson Group have already made progress at the scheme which is being built on the site of the former Partington Social Club that burnt down in an arson attack in 2018.
Marking the official start on site were Garnet Fazackerley, our Operations Director – Development, Kate Booth, our Project Manager, Mike Watson, Director at Watson Group, and representatives from both Watson Group and Wilkinson Cowan Partnership.
Garnet Fazackerley said: “We are delighted to mark the official start on site and see work underway at these new homes in Partington. As this land has been disused for some time, it’s great that we can transform it into high-quality housing for social rent and help meet the demand for genuinely affordable homes in the area.”
The scheme is expected to complete in summer 2027.
